just shout whenever, and i’ll be there.

Frederiksborg Slot (from: photofication)

It has been a while since I last updated. What’s happened since then hmm…?

So I accepted my housing offer at Signalhuset (see previous post), despite another offer that was made to me. However, a few days ago, I got an email saying that the rent had gone up… But still sent through acceptance anyway. I’ve got to make payment on that soon…

I went two Thursdays ago to the Consulate General, and it was pretty snazzy in there. No problems and then got them to send it to my house. And it came the following Tuesday, so it was awesome and really quickly! Turns out I didn’t need to freak out about that 2-3 months thing. So yay, I have a visa! And it’s pretty and shiny. =)

Flight booking (& preliminary travel plans!)

I’ve booked, I’ve booked! This is the most exciting news eeeeever!

I ended up booking two one-way tickets, and I’m going by SIA. YAY! =D Cheaper that way.

So when am I leaving? 21st July. Stopover in Singapore for a few hours, before heading off to Kastrup. I’ll arrive there on a Thursday, which means I’ll have to find accommodation for that first night, before I can pick up the keys and stuff at Signalhuset on the Friday.

Then, I have to do a bit of registration stuff I believe, with CPR and all that, and then the plan is to fly down to Munich and visit Aunty Judy, a family friend who has been asking us to come and visit her for ages! So I’ll probably spend a week there, and then it’ll be start of pre-sem course on 9th August.

In terms of coming back… so the visa only lets me stay until the 14th February, so by then, I’ll run away to UK, visit Mel and Clayton in London (yay for a place to stay!), before leaving on the 19th February for Singapore, where I’ll stay a couple of days, before arriving back home 26th February… Just in time for uni to start on the 28th. Lol.

I’m really glad just to get those flights locked in, although there still is the chance of changing them and what not.

Hopefully I pass equity and trusts… I’ll know the day of my flight! EEEP!!!

Other random things

I’ve just been thinking about all the things that I’ll need to bring there, and how I’m going to get everything there… In terms of clothes and things, but also things you kind of take for granted at home… like appliances? And also blankets! I have to bring my own blankets! Although I think I’ll probably just buy them there… but what am I going to do with it when I leave?! Herm…

I need to start making a list of all the things that I need, and need to figure out. Like bank things, and phone…

So there’s an update for you!
